Rememberance Day
Nov. 11th, 2005 10:59 pmIn Flanders Fields the poppies grow between the crosses, row on row, that mark our place and in the sky the larks still bravely singing, fly scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the dead, short days ago we lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow, loved and were loved and now we lie in Flanders Fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe; to you with failing hands we throw the torch, be yours to hold it high and if ye break faith with us who die we'll never sleep though poppies grow in Flanders Fields.
-John McCrae. [paraphrased, it is late and I can never remember the exact wording. :( ]
Go a hug a veteran. God knows they deserve it.
Anyways, the one thing I was looking forward to this week is gone. *pout* But I'm not getting into that right now.
Chicken soup is yummy. My shoulder hurts. darn good thing I'm working with Wendy tomorrow. She's the only one who will put up with my bitching.
Hit 1/4 point for Nano! More than that, actually: 12632! I think I'm going to count my journal responses as word count. Screw you guys, I'm trying!
