Oh, Mighty Ducks...

I'm heading up to Court's tonight for a little going away party. This will prove to be trying indeed.

We went out for dinner last night- me, Mother, Al, Grandma, Grandpa- and it was quite nice. Even though I know Grandpa had way more sugar than he should have and I know he snuck to the bar when the other adults were occupied [he's very very diabetic but he acts like a big baby when you tell him he can't have something].

On the way home, Mother asked if I would like to rent a movie, and I said 'hell yes'. And thus I rented the third Mighty Ducks movie.

...What a fucking great movie. Just great. The second one will always be my favourite, but the third one now has a special place in my heart.

You know what sucks?

All my friends have gone somewhere else. Except for a select few, but they are otherwise occupied with problems I cannot help with.

So I'm part lonely, part useless.

Hence Mighty Ducks- the feel good movie.

Oi, remember me, your friend that doesn't do anything but work? And I don't have problems you know, except my mom found that comic book thing you lent me. She was not impressed and slightly freaked out, and I had to explain to her. You owe me.

No she didn't. She gave me a weird look and said "What is this?" and "Where did it come from?". My mom and I have a system where if she doesn't know about something already I don't have to tell her. This was supposed to stay as one of the things she didn't know. *sigh* Oh well, at least she hasn't mentioned anything else about it.
