My Thoughts on Supernatural

No spoilers
Annnnnd you won't find any spoilers here, of course, because I'm only halfway through s4 right now. I've seen a lot of Supernatural stuff in the last few weeks (culminating tonight, holy hannah) and I must say... BLAH. Blah to all it.
I'm extremely disappointed in how all of s4 turned out. I feel that exposition was not forthcoming enough to keep my attention in the beginning of the season (last season). "PS, Dean's back from the dead for some mysterious reason, but we're not going to reveal any of it for like, um, ever!" Maybe it's just because I have the attention span of a walnut or maybe it's because it feels like it could almost be another show now. They're not looking for Yellow Eyes anymore, that storyline is basically over, though by the first few episodes of s4 we've begun to see a little more of Sam's demon-y side.
I try to read hype and etc online, but then I look at so many members of the fandom and I just get so turned off the entire series. It's hard to be jazzed about s5, sorry internet. Now I'm not saying I won't watch it because I'm about to have a ton more spare time to waste, but I'm not going to be so excited about it like I was for s3. HO HUM.
And for the record, part of me still thinks that Supernatural should go into a pile with House and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. *coughmightnhavedonebettertoendatthreeseasonscough*

Yeah, it's different from when it started. But it wasn't really a sudden change. It was a slow evolution. That's what made it awesome, imo.
(also, when you find out why Dean's important, it's...well, interesting. Not what I expected, and a whole lot less likely to work than they implied. MASTER PLANS~!)
