I had the most amazing last couple of days and yet at the same time, I can't help but be really ... depressed? Is that the right word? I am, as they say, awash with emotion.
Craig visited me. He arrived in a torrential downpour and I ran to the end of the street to meet him. Needless to say, we both got drenched to the bone. We had a hot shower and ordered pizza and watched Law and Order with my aunt <- A simple, comfortable evening that may seem rather lame to you, but was really quite pleasant.
Wednesday consisted of getting drenched again in the rain when we went to see the play, then having a hot shower, eating pie, and going to bed by nine-thirty.
Thursday we went to the zoo and I had the TIME OF MY LIFE. I saw tigers and the snow lepoard (he juggled! ... Okay, not really) and funny gibbons and tiny screeching creamsicle coloured tamarins and a bald eagle that looked as big as I am and a monitor lizard that I think tried to look down my shirt and an evil scray fish monster that tried to eat me. And you know, like.... other animals too. Just walking around for hours at the zoo in the sun- it seemed like just us goofing around and kissing under lilac trees and laughing at nothing.
I'm starting to seriously adore him. I don't know how I feel about that. I think I'm okay with it. I'm very cautious, and I am glad I'm that, but sometimes I get tired of being paranoid. He just makes me feel so damned comfortable... almost (ugh) safe, or something.
... Seriously though, those gibbons were great. One of them tried to pick up the soft shelled turtle that was in the same enclosure. The turtle fought him off and hid, but it was really funny. Craig reckons the gibbon was trying to pick the turtle up and stick him in a tree, but I think it was an attempted assassination of the soft-shelled turtle mafia don.
