Screw uniformity, this is starting to piss me off. For
alphabetdrabble because it's better that way.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James Potter/Sirius Black
Prompt: Gravitas
Rating: PG 13
Warnings: Character death? [it's canon, I swear]
James cried and cried and Sirius didn’t know what to say.
They were at the Potter’s dual funeral and Sirius was feeling totally empty. These people had been his almost-parents and he felt nothing inside but an odd coldness. Sirius resigned himself to holding on to James and resenting himself for not feeling bad.
“Padfoot… Can we go?” James broke Sirius out of his thoughts
“Yeah, James, let’s go.”
They stood up and snuck out the back. Sitting on the curb and sucking fiercely on a cigarette didn’t make either one of them feel better. “I miss them,” James whispered.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James Potter/Sirius Black
Prompt: Halcyon
Rating: PG
Warnings: Slash
James and Sirius had skipped Potions on the first day of spring. Remus was being a student and wouldn’t come with them, so they headed down to the lake alone. It wasn’t all bad, without Remus, because they could sit a little closer without anyone caring. “Sirius, look!” James pointed at a green bird circling a spot above the water. “It’s a Halcyon!”
“Aren’t they extinct?” They sat on the shore and watched the fabled bird floating in the sky. James slipped his arm around Sirius’s shoulders and Sirius’s head rested on James and everything was right with the world.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James Potter/Sirius Black
Prompt: Iota
Rating: G
“Alright, where is he!?” James shouted, flying down the stairs into the Common Room. Sirius had just jumped under the table.
“Where did he go?” James yelled again.
Sirius clung to Remus’s knee, silently begging him not to cave.
“He’s dead this time, no excuses!” Before anyone could even ask, Sirius slid out from under the table and threw his arms around James.
“Oh please, dearest and oldest friend, do not murder me now! I am sorry, so sorry,” Sirius ‘wept’ into James shoulder.
James shoved him. “You’re not even trying to be sincere.”
Sirius grinned and winked to Remus.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James Potter/Sirius Black
Prompt: Jejune
Rating: G
History of Magic was the single dullest place on earth. They had even asked Remus, who verified this with his many books. Ten minutes in, and James was about ready to claw his own eyes out for a reason to leave. Fire, a rabid Thestral, attack of zombies, anything would do.
Just when James was about to give up hope, Sirius poked him in the shoulder and motioned for him to cover his eyes. A huge burst of light and a loud shattering noise sounded through the room. The thick fog that now blanketed the class was the perfect escape.
Fandom: Harry Potter
Pairing: James Potter/Sirius Black
Prompt: Kismet
Rating: PG
Warnings: Slash
It was written in the stars
“Sirius Black was here!” said the stars. James rolled his eyes and charmed the writing off his Astronomy homework, which unfortunately took all his writing with it. He set to work re-filling in his star chart by copying off Remus’s completed one.
As he finished, James started to think about Sirius and how annoyed he should be about Sirius destroying his Astronomy homework, but he can’t bring himself to be upset. James thought it must be fate if Sirius was the most annoying person ever and James could still be able to love him.
