So apparently I'm into dolls
Alriiiiight!
So I got my very first doll yesterday.
Actually, I didn't.
I got half of my first doll yesterday. I get the rest when I get the money from selling my DS so expect more giddy and more photos when she's all in one piece.
But today I bring you *drumroll*

See! Look how excited.. um... my hand looks!
So I purchased this lovely girl from the company Napi. She is a Chesi sculpt and I got the company to do her 'face-up' -- aka: paint her face on. Because I am absolute crap at arts 'n' crafts.
After what felt like a million years (I have been assured 5 weeks is a perfectly respectable wait and possibly even decent), she arrived here yesterday. Ace and I picked her up.

So this is my doll (head)! I am very happy with her and happy with the name I picked for her, which is Corinne (core-in).

Photo under natural light, no flash.

Natural light, no flash, auto colour-correct on.
I love her eyes, which were another company altogether, and I honestly don't think I could have picked better ones for her. After ordering them, I stumbled across a discussion where a lot of people hated this particular kind of eye? (They are made of squishy silicone) Apparently this company sometimes ships defective or cloudy eyes. Whatever. I love them. They are like, a super dark brown that almost looks black until you're looking right at them. I couldn't get a shot of them clearly in her head though, and seeing them out of her creeps me out. Oooh, floating eyes! (Yeah, but the disembodied head is cool. Go figure.)
The wig was a third company again, and it's a lot more... orange-y than the website led me to believe. But that's totally okay and I am in love with it. Another wig, more coppery brown, is on it's way to me now and *fingers crossed* I'm going to try my hand at making dreads in the next few days.

Natural light, no flash, no corrections.
So there's that. Once she has a body (I'm aiming for May. She should have a body sometime in May), there will be more rejoicing. And getting her some tattoos and then busting out my old school sewing kit any making her some kickin' threads. *dorks it up*
Also, excuse my trashed bed in the background. All my bedding is in the wash right now, plus half of my wardrobe, so my room looks like a bomb test site.
