So what that entry details is our experience at the SOS community show and the food we ate tonight and the fun time we had building a refrigerator.
We had cucumbers and strawberry all bran bites when we went to see the play. Because food keeps kids quiet. ^__^ I actually didn't get any, because Trishka ate them all, but that's okay because I have a bit better of a time keeping quiet on my own.
The play itself was riveting. Only a few minutes in did Trishka declare that the girl in the green was 'very sad about something.' Well baby, that's because she just tried to commit suicide and that green dress is her hospital gown. Then Trishka decides the girl is probably sad because she's going to die. Remarkably astute, for a three year old.
I imagine I would have been pretty upset by the performance. Come to think of it, yes, yes I was upset. I reserve that as my right, but nevertheless, if Trishka hadn't have been there, I probably would have had to leave within the half. Yay kid.
The best part of it though was when Trishka whispered that she thought the girl was going to die, and her father was probably going to kill her. Suddenly it was not play about the effect of suicide, it was Law and Order! Or possibly an episode of Sccoby Doo with twangy banjo chase music and an axe.
Then we came home and typed this up. Trishka says it's about the play and about how we built a fridge today. I assure you now, we did not build anything of the sort. I love that kid.
Also, K, if you're reading, I miss you babe.
