Boring Life
Dec. 23rd, 2008 09:19 pmWork flew by today and now I only have one more day until I'm off for two (then work one, Larissan fellowship meeting, off two).
Stopped by the Tea Garden after work, then home for pizza and tv with Leo for company. Truly a wonderful life I lead these days.
Tomorrow's plan include wearing pjs to work, taking out the recycling and watching the rest of The Magic Flute.
In fantastic work-related news, come February I might be getting my four-by-tens back! <3 When we heard this, I think more than a few of us felt our hearts give a little wiggle.
I have decided that if I live the rest of my life with a 24/7 soundtrack, I will be more than happy. Music fills in the gaps in my head. More than sometimes the song playing is fitting for the situation I find myself in as well, which is a bonus.
Last night I found out there are more people out there who think I'm kind of boss. I didn't know y'all thought so highly of me!
And a stupid story, to finish tonight off.
I simply hemorrhaged i.q. points at work today. Had an almost-escalation from a woman who wanted to know why I wouldn't help her go over her invoice. "Well ma'am, it's because you don't have an account with this company," was not a good enough answer... But Leo and I collectively ass-kicked at Jeopardy tonight, so I feel slightly redeemed.

Today! In History!: 1972, The Andes. The remaining sixteen survivors of the Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571 crash were rescued after 73 days.
Quote of the Day: "A great writer reveals the truth even when he or she does not wish to." [Tom Bissell]
Bizarre Fact of the Day: The Kurds are an ethnic group of 25 million (give or take), and they have no home nation to speak of. How bizarre (and tonight's Final Jeopardy).
( Pretty Picture of the Day: )
The Final Word: I think I've made up my mind on New Year's Resolutions too!
