Hellllllooooooo world! I am back from my lovely little vacation to Chatham. I'm going to place all my blathering about the medieval faire behind a cut because I have ten hundred things to say it feels like.
My list of 101 Things in 1001 Days has been updated, specifically #5, 49, 60, 61, 65, 69 and 103. My current tally? TWO OUT OF ONE HUNDRED AND ONE(ish).
Firstly, it was an interesting drive. One of the tires went drastically flat just outside London. I fully blame Sarah and Craig, my travelling companions, for this because a) going 150 on the 401 is just tempting fate and b) never say 'heh, don't worry, I've never been in an accident... just kidding, I've been in tons.'
Anyways, what should have been a 50 minute drive from London to Wallyburg ending up taking just about 3 hours because we couldn't go over eighty with the replacement tire.
We traded in the broken car for a not so broken one, then headed to the faire first thing the next morning.
All in all, Friday was awesomely fun, but nothing really stands out other than Sarah and Craig bickering the ENTIRE day. She hated his driving, he hated her attitude, neither could decide where they wanted the tent to go (I didn't get a say), and on and on. I can't believe they both survived the weekend.
There were a few outstanding performances- Nero's Fiddle, a really pretty belly dancer, The Tartan Terrors and Zoltan the Adequate (he had a pet rat!). The joust was awesome, I got to pet a great horned owl, a man played Craig and I a song on his flute, I learned a spiffy dance, I learned about archery (I shot a stupid panda! ... not a live one though, don't worry), we got invited to join the SCA, Merlin tried to cut off Craig's head, a man swung at Craig with a real live sword (three times), I ALMOST high fived the Pope, I wore a kilt... oh man, I could go on. In fact, I will.
Yesterday, on the way home, we stopped at the pet store (because I'm a dork and I like animals. And yeah, oh man, holy smokes, a sugar glider jumped all over me! It was so cool!

I mean, lookit the little guy!
