Was going to do a link-spam of every thing I've written this year, but I decided that... No, I won't do that :D

Here's just a quick breakdown:

Total words written+posted: 104,000 (give or take a couple. I tend to round to the nearest 10)
Number of fics posted: 18
Fandoms Represented: 2 (def going to try to write some more next year)
Big Bangs Posted: 4
Total words written+posted for big bangs: 89,900 (I am in loooooove with big bangs. ALL THE BIG BANGS)
Total # of fics written for porn comment memes & # of words: 8&5,550

And though it makes me a little queasy, here's a link to the thing I wrote that I like the best. I wavered; there's 2 that I like, but this one wins on account of banter. Also, it's shorter, so anyone who wants to read it will be tortured a little less.

The Secret Waiter Job, written for AU Big Bang. Leverage Restaurant AU, Eliot/Hardison, warnings for strong language, lots of knives, and spanking. 23k, rated R.

Leverage is the hot, exciting place on the restaurant scene these days, thanks to its hot, exciting executive chef, Eliot Spencer. New hire Alec Hardison is a mild mannered, smooth talking waiter by night and a double-life-living, top secret culinary school student by day. Together, they'll cook up some sizzling dishes... both in and out of the kitchen.

So basically, if it's not a big bang or Porn Battle, I won't write it. >.< Going to expand my ficcing horizons in 2012. More fandoms, more writing for fun and pleasure, more WORDS. Yes, I signed up to "get my words out". We'll see how that goes. :D

When Cityopolis is in trouble, it calls the best hero in town: Super Duper Man. When Super Duper Man is in trouble, it's up to his super duper roommate, Hardison, and their super duper dog to help him out. But when the trouble is bigger and badder than Cityopolis has ever seen, and she's wearing a tight red dress and matching killer heels, it seems like it's going to be the end for the whole city for sure. But there shouldn't be anything to worry about. After all, no one is crazy enough to actually destroy the whole planet... Right?

Desktop Background Meme/Photo )

Abby is the least helpful shadow I've ever had, especially when it comes to walking up or down the stairs or trying to catch frogs.

It's been raining off and on here for the last few nights. I go out around eleven-midnight and walk around the suburbs, finding frogs that have come out in the rain and relocating them away from the rich people's swimming pools and towards the swampy bits of land that are mostly chlorine-free. So. I guess I have a new hobby? That's only a little weird, right?

Last night I had Abby with me and her sole aim in life was to eat as many frogs as I picked up. She didn't actually ingest any; all frogs safely accounted for and stolen away from the swimming pools. Let's chalk this one up as a win.

Books!

Katie was on a course in South River today, so I was home alone.

Me.

Alone.

All day.

Before pictures of my books. )

After pictures of my books. )

And that's what I did today. This is only about 2/3 of my collection; the rest still live at my mother's house. Along with my two tallllllllllll Billy-style Ikea book cases which I frickin absolutely wish I had here, but would have no place to put them. But in the time between right now and when I one day live in a place big enough to have a room specifically for my books, I have milk crates, right? I've also appropriated a shoe box (which I will now decorate and show pictures to you later!) to house my zine library. It will sit precariously atop my flash milk crate shelves. There's a possibility it will have a dinosaur on it.

Right this second, I am eating a salad. Life is good.

Alriiiiight!

So I got my very first doll yesterday.

Actually, I didn't.

I got half of my first doll yesterday. I get the rest when I get the money from selling my DS so expect more giddy and more photos when she's all in one piece.

But today I bring you *drumroll*

1/2 of my first doll ever! )

Also, excuse my trashed bed in the background. All my bedding is in the wash right now, plus half of my wardrobe, so my room looks like a bomb test site.

My top notch sleuthing skillz paid off, y'all.

Days 'o' Blog Count: 07/31

Katie cleaned her room last week and during the carnage I saw a box of crayons. But now they are gone. And I am attempting to explain something to someone and crayons are a requirement (because I apparently lost all my coloured markers too). MY LIFE IS TERRIBLY STRESSFUL. All I can find is a purple marker. So instead of drawing what I want to draw, I will have to just draw grapes, baby Tylenol and unicorns.

I went to the library today and couldn't find any good books about owls. That was tres disappointing. I did get some books which have nothing to do with an epic-level, soul-consuming, glory-tier, mad-cap adventure multimedia fandom project I promised myself I wouldn't touch because it would turn me into a gibbering idiot with the sheer amount of work involved though. So there's that.

*ahem*

Katie cooked dinner for me, which was nice and domestic of her. Just the way a little woman should be *cough*. I helped, I promise.

Also, I almost had a good hair day today.

31 Days 'o' Blog Super Special Fun Features
Quote of the Day: You're only given a little spark of madness. You mustn't lose it. [Robin Williams]

Fact of the Day: The fact of the day is that I am terrified of Wikipedia right now and refuse to get a fact from there right now. I hit 'random article' It showed me 'rape' and then 'plastibell circumcision' and then 'Snow Patrol'. ALL TERRIFYING THINGS. So how about this, which I picked up at the libraritorium today: In the apparently endlessly strange state of Connecticut, there is Nut Museum. Yes, a museum of nuts. To get in, you pay some money and a nut. Yes, you have to give a nut to the nut museum to get in and see the nuts. And sometimes, squirrels get in and steal the exhibits. This is probably why people need to bring more nuts when they come. I want to know how this is a thing.

Pretty Picture of the Day: here )

Song of the Day: 'Tidal Wave', Owl City. It's like electric pop (it's like it because that's what it is, I think) and it's kind of dance-y and it's got sweet lyrics. Not sweet like 'sweet lyrics, bro' but like 'aww, that's sweet like a pie'. I won't tell you what it makes me think of because that's too weird even for my journal.

The Final Thought: PURPLE UNICORNS.

Dear [livejournal.com profile] bluehippos,
Happy holidays!
I wanted to make you a music mix, but I also wanted to write you fanfiction for Chuck. So I did both!

Hope you didn’t hate it.

Dear [livejournal.com profile] epiphanyx7,
Happiest of holidays!
I was going to make you a most excellent mix tape, but I don’t actually remember how to use a tape recorder so I did it all on the interwebular machine instead.

by now you're guessing i'm liking you )

Now remember, you promised this wouldn’t result in a restraining order.
Happy holidays!

So I can't use photoshop at all and I got chocolate covered espresso beans for my birthday. Image of a very adamant dinosauriel beyond this cut. )

Mama's surgery went well, apparently, and she was up and moving before bed, which is awesome.

Katie sensed my stress level and FINALLY caved and bought me an ostrich. He's titchy, but he's all mine! I'll have to give him a kickass name. Taking suggestions from you, internet.

And speaking of gifts, I got an early (just a little) Christmas present from Janis. It's a Hufflepuff-slash-camping blanket and it doubles as a weapon if I ever have to fight the Green Lantern. The real gift was getting to make it with Janis though (awww, how sweet of me).

I have to sleep or else I might physically injure someone at work tomorrow. They gave us new adjustment limits (down from 150$ to 100$ and then down from 100$ to 25$. That's a huge jump!!) and it's been a source of aggravation in the last 48 hours. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.

That's practically my new mantra. I need it on a tee shirt.

I spent an hour or two gluing bits of paper together.

I feel better now.

The first five people to respond to this post will get something made by me! My choice. For you.

This offer does have some restrictions and limitations:

- What I create will be just for you.
- I make no guarantees that you will like what I make!
- You will receive your item before the end of the year (or sooner).
- You will have no clue what the item is going to be. It could be a story or poetry. It could be a piece of handmade jewelry or an art doll. I might go get some scissor hands and carve you a dinosaur out of a tree. I may draw, paint, collage or knit something. I might bake you something and mail it to you. Who knows? Not you, that's for sure!
- I reserve the right to do something extremely strange. Obviously. This is me we're talking about here.

Ready, set, create! :)

PS, you're supposed to repost..

I got my Hallowe'en costume today! All I need is some pipe cleaners to make deelie-boppers and possibly some glitter.

I may be going to some stranger's party with Katie as her keeper/dress minder to make sure she doesn't get naked by accident.

... I can see this not ending well!

Loony Bin!

Okay, so I am at my mother's house for a few days to celebrate Thanksgiving and to see everyone and be social and a contributing member of the family and junk.

...Crazy effing family. I love them, but they are generally crazier than the friends I have back home. I'm going to need a vacation once I get home from my vacation.

I'munna make myself a tee shirt with a hot air balloon on it, because I'm not esoteric enough already! Srsly though, I will post pictures if it turns out the way I have pictured it in my mind.

Just like I went last week, only this time I went for real because last time we missed the right bus and got there too late.

So I went for real today, and it smells nice there, and I bought some green paint, because I wanted to and because green is probably my favourite colour.

So after I finish polishing my story for Blink Week, then I will go and paint.

Hurrah.

Painting is sooooo boring.

And now I have to sit around to wait for the first coat to dry because black turns out streaky so I have to do two coats. Booooo.

But in better, not so paint-y news: I have a book! I just have to write a piece in it then it is to be mailed, bitch!

So me and Maureen have to go out for a bit, but then I am coming home and writing dammit.

And yesterday I went over to Lia's and borrowed a bunch of cd's.

Holy crap, she has good taste (but we won't tell her that). I am def. enjoying this Fallout Boy. I'd heard a few songs before but this is better than I remember.

But now! Up up and away to the art store!
unavoidedcrisis: girl lying on the ground with playing cards scattered over her (umbrella people)
Ohh, it's official.

I just finished my first ever 'art' piece. Oh yes. I painted a picture on a canvas. It is art, bitches, because I say it is!

I also say that you should ignore the fact that I finger painted it.

[Oh god, stop me now...]
